Connor shouldered his bag and read the broken English on the ticket terminal for the third time. The past three days of a travel left his focus so inexorably shattered that navigating Engrish posed as great of a challenge as, say for example, calculating thrust ratios to get a rocket into space while receiving fellatio from a woman with a tail.
His mental acuity simply couldn't make the grade.
However, a new identity awaited him in Shenzen and in three-days he might find his way back to the Sprawl and back into proper payouts. His recent foray into high-orbit facilitated this entire deal and he knew that aligning these particular stars for a second time would prove almost certainly fatal.
